William Schutz presented the idea of interpersonal connections known as Fundamental Interpersonal connections Orientation (FIRO) in 1958.1. This idea primarily clarifies how members of a local community interact with one another. The theory is predicated on the idea that when individuals congregate in a group setting, they primarily seek to fulfill three interpersonal needs: inclusion, control, and affection/openness.
