Uttarakhand all set to implement UCC, to convene special Assembly session on Feb 5
Uttarakhand government may convene a special session of the legislative ****embly from Feb 5 to deliberate on the implementation of Uniform Civil Code in the state.
It is learnt that the five member committee headed by Justice (Retd) Ranjana Desai will submit their report to the state government on Feb 5 itself.
It need be mentioned that Uttarakhand government soon after re-election had appointed a committee to prepare a draft paper to implement UCC in the state.
