Quebec Allocates $7 Million To Attract Internationally
Quebec has taken steps to address the shortage of early childhood educators by investing $7 million in recruiting foreign nationals to work there. The funding will be distributed over five years and support educational childcare services. Their recruitment efforts by providing financial assistance to participants of the government-sponsored Journées Québec missions.
Recognizing the financial burden associated with these missions. Quebec will refund up to 35 percent of the costs incurred by participants, with a maximum reimbursement of $4,000 per individual. In addition to this support, participants will continue to receive financial assistance from Quebec’s immigration department. The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI), and its labor ministry, the ministère de l’Emploi et de la solidarité sociale.
