New Zealand opener Finn Allen equals world record with 16 sixes against Pakistan

The young prodigy Finn Allen has now equaled the record for the most sixes in a T20I innings, standing alongside Hazratullah Zazai.

Finn Allen, the opener for New Zealand against Pakistan in the third Twenty20 international, broke the previous mark by hitting 137 off 62 deliveries. His knock tied the world record for the most sixes in an innings, held by Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai, and eclipsed the previous highest score by a New Zealand in a Twenty20 international, Brendon McCullum's 123. In one over, Haris Rauf let 27 runs go away.

With a record-breaking 137 off just 62 deliveries in the third Twenty20 international against Pakistan on Wednesday in Dunedin, New Zealand opener Finn Allen made history. In addition to surpassing Brendon McCullum's previous record of 123 for a New Zealander in a Twenty20 international, Allen's incredible effort tied the global record for the most sixes in an innings, which was previously held by Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai with 16 maximums.

Together with Hazratullah Zazai, the youthful sensation Finn Allen has now tied the record for the most sixes in a T20I innings.
