How to Start a Party on Teleparty

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, "Teleparty" was the new name for the extension formerly known as "Netflix Party." Here are the general steps for starting a party on Teleparty:
1.Install the Teleparty Extension:

Ensure that you have the Teleparty extension installed on your web browser. It's available for browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Opera. You can find it in the respective browser's extension store.

2.Go to a Supported Streaming Service:

Teleparty supports streaming services, including Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and HBO. Go to the website of the streaming service you want to use.

3.Start Watching a Movie or TV Show:

Once you're on the streaming service's website, select the movie or TV show you want to watch.

4.Click on the Teleparty Icon:

Look for the Teleparty icon in your browser toolbar. Click on it to open the Teleparty extension.

5.Start a Party:

The Teleparty extension should have an option to "Start the party" or a similar command. Click on it.

6.Generate the Party Link:

The extension will generate a unique link for your watch party. You'll share this link with your friends so they can join the party.

7.Share the Party Link:

Copy the party link and share it with your friends via your preferred communication method, such as email, messaging apps, or social media.

8.Invite Friends:

Your friends must click the party link to join the watch party. They will also need to have the Teleparty extension installed on their browsers.

9.Sync Playback and Enjoy:

Once everyone has joined the party, Teleparty will synchronize the playback for all participants. You can now enjoy watching a movie or TV show together while chatting through the Teleparty interface.
