This beachfront Victorian-style hotel opened in 1888 and is a national historic landmark. 4. The Beverly Hills Hotel

When we think of Beverly Hills and opulence, The Beverly Hills Hotel is what comes to mind. A Dorchester Collection hotel, this opulent hotel and bungalows embody Old Hollywood glamour and is the perfect place to have a lavish wedding.

Originally opened in 1912, this is a landmark that has stood the test of time. Back then, the rooms and suites oozed a gilded elegance while the fabled bungalows were where Elizabeth Taylor honeymooned (with six husbands) and Marilyn Monroe slept.

The property offers a variety of sophisticated dining options. The Polo Lounge is a favorite for breakfast while the Cabana Cafe serves lunch and dinner daily. There is also Bar Nineteen 12 where you can have cocktails and drinks before or after a meal.

5. Il Cielo

When it comes to intimate, romantic wedding venues, there is no place more stunning than Il Cielo. Located along a busy street in Beverly Hills among multi-plex residences and restaurants, this venue offers the intimacy of a private home with all the glamour of a Hollywood starlet’s bungalow. Il Cielo, which means “the sky” in Italian, was opened up in 1986 by Pasquale Vericella who wanted to create a restaurant that felt like his own home. The restaurant resides inside a tiny bungalow that was originally a hair salon and has retained many of its original structural elements from when it was built in 1938.

This restaurant is more than just a dining destination; it’s a landmark that has become known as “the most romantic place in Los Angeles.” It serves lunch and dinner in a darling ambiance that would rival any Tuscan trattoria. Its menu includes risottos, pastas, crudos and surf and turf entrees. For dessert, try the nutty hazelnut praline panna cotta with zesty citrus marmalade. This restaurant is a celebrity favorite and it’s been seen in many movies, including the 2004 film Spanglish where it stood in for the patio of Adam Sandler’s restaurant.
