A bricklayer's apprenticeship consists of two parts: on-the-job training provided by the employer and classroom instruction at a technical or vocational education institution (TAFE or RTO). The first step for an aspiring apprentice is to find a firm that is prepared to take them on as an employee and keep them on for at least three years, and typically much longer depending on the requirements of the applicant's home country. Trade apprenticeships is something to think about.
